Varicose Veins can occur in multiple areas of the body in addition to your legs.  They are a common problem that affects a particularly large population. Bulging of red, blue and purple veins from as low as the the ankle to as high as the thigh are most commonly found on the legs.

These veins protrude and bulge on the surface of the skin, which are unattractive and in some cases can be very painful as well.

There are many factors that have been known to contribute to the development of varicose veins, including:

• Heredity
• Pregnancy
• Weight
• Occupation
• Prolonged Sitting or Standing
• Certain Medications
